Herons Sneeze?
Back on April 12th, when I was still getting used to my new Pentax K-x camera, I was lucky enough to catch this sequence of pictures of a Great Blue Heron. The images are about three-quarters of a second apart. Of course, it looks like a sneeze, but surely it can't be!
But today, I saw nearly the same thing, except this time it was a green heron. This bird being much smaller, everything happened a lot quicker. Except for the first shot, these images are about one-quarter of a second apart. You can see that the angle of the camera changes between the first and second shots. That's because I was trying to get a better angle when the "sneeze" started. Still, I captured most of it.
But these can't really be sneezes, can they?
